After seven years abroad, Natalia returns to Poland, where she left behind her young daughter, Hela, and mother, Zofia. Determined to become a mother to her daughter again, she soon realizes it may be too late to enter Hela’s world—a world she abandoned years ago, once ruled by her domineering father.
