“I want to sing you a song. Wherever you go, do not lose your way. Wherever you go, you will remember my song. Wherever you go, you will remember the stories I told — my Atayal children.” A team of river tracers ventures deep into the Nan'ao River watershed in Yilan, Taiwan, searching for a legendary hidden waterfall — only to find themselves walking an Atayal path. Exploring the land beneath their feet, they discover not only the beauty of the river, but also, above its darkened waters, a traditional territory scarred by decades of mining.
