The Care Between Us

О фильме

So-yoon, a woman with a severe disability, and Woo-seok, her non-disabled partner, are lovers. Their relationship is also one of care, with Woo-seok acting as her personal assistant. Their daily life is a tapestry woven with overlapping layers of love and labor, intimacy and caregiving. Less than a year after leaving an institutional facility, So-yoon is subjected to verbal abuse by a manager at her supported housing. Refusing to remain silent, she and Woo-seok stand together against the discrimination they face. Their shared struggle becomes a lens through which the film explores the meaning of deinstitutionalization, mobility rights, genuine autonomy, and the many forms that love can take.
