When we consider the womb as a tomb, couldn't we say that the fetus is an ambiguous existence, neither dead nor alive? The stars on the ceiling I saw in Galla Placidia's mausoleum resonated with the pulsating life within my own body. A work containing metaphysical reflections based on the filmmaker's own pregnancy.
