She defends herself before the governor by telling an eloquent story that reveals The truth is, because of her intelligence, the tribal chief appoints her as a storyteller in his council, which arouses the jealousy of his assistant, Jaafar, who begins to plot to distort her image, so Shama engages in a struggle sometimes with intelligence and sometimes with the power of storytelling to confront the harshness of reality.
