Can you imagine a world without farmers? Without a doubt, our mealtimes would be far less meaningful and our palates– far more plain. Just think about it, so much of the food we consume throughout the day has been carefully planted, cared for, and plucked by a farmer, so even if you don’t personally know one– you are certainly rewarded by their dedication. A recent challenge for the farming community has been climate change. To reduce its negative impact on farmer livelihood, the Environmental Defense Fund and NC A&T University partnered to teach climate-resilient practices. When the practices proved effective and financially beneficial, the Environmental Defense Fund partnered with us to document their project’s success.
