Alongside Balthier, a charismatic sky pirate, and Fran, his fierce Viera partner, they embark on a grand journey across the vast deserts of Ivalice. To liberate her kingdom, Ashe must seek the legendary shards of "Nethecite"—stones of god-like power—and decide whether to use them for brutal vengeance or to break the strings of the immortal gods who secretly manipulate the fate of all mankind.
