Two years after the eternal calm was brought to Spira, the world has completely changed. Technology is rising, old religious factions are fracturing into new political groups, and Yuna now lives a peaceful life. But her world is turned upside down when she is shown a mysterious, ancient movie sphere containing footage of a young man who looks exactly like Tidus, the love she lost.Determined to find the truth, Yuna sheds her heavy robes, becomes a dual-pistol-wielding sphere hunter, and forms the "Gullwings" alongside her fierce guardian Rikku and the cool, silent Paine. Traveling across Spira in their high-tech airship, the trio must unearth hidden history and master the magical "Dresspheres" to change their combat styles on the fly. However, their search triggers the awakening of Vegnagun, a colossal, ancient doomsday weapon that threatens to destroy the newly liberated Spira.
