The series takes place against the backdrop of the withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and the evacuation of Gush Katif in 2005 as part of the disengagement plan, and follows Brigadier General Shilo Maza, wearing a knitted kippah and commander of the operation, who faces the difficult task that places him in front of his community and his close family members – his wife, Naama, who vehemently opposes the evacuation of Gush Katif, and his sister Idit and her husband Meir, who are residents of the bloc. Their son, Lavi, tries to find his place between the community of the settlement and the waves of the sea. On the other hand, Maza's deputy, Avinoam Brenner, a kibbutznik, presents a critical approach to Maza's inclusion policy towards the settlers.
