When a photograph connected to Cheng Xiaoshi’s missing parents is discovered, he and Lu Guang travel to Bridon in search of answers. Their investigation leads them into the aftermath of a devastating academy fire and the lives of several strangers hiding conflicting motives. As buried connections gradually emerge, Lu Guang quietly struggles against the fate he fears may be awaiting Cheng.
