Meet eight new individuals ready to embark on the most physically challenging and emotionally taxing year of their lives. Each episode tracks one morbidly obese individual - many of whom are immobile and depending on caretakers for everyday tasks such as driving, bathing and walking - as they courageously undergo high-risk surgery in an effort to completely change their lives.
